Here you can find out more about the huge range of poets we feature in our pamphlets and the artists whose work appears on our beautiful covers.
We’ve now published poems by over 850 historical and contemporary poets. In our pages you’ll find old favourites alongside twenty-first century voices – everyone from WH Auden to Belinda Zhawi. Although our emphasis is on British poetry, you’ll also find Irish, American and Australian writers. We hope these pages will encourage you to explore further the work of a poet you’ve enjoyed in one of our pamphlets.-
Tiffany Atkinson
Tiffany Atkinson was born in Berlin and has lived in Wales since 1993. She lectures in English and Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University. Her first collection was Kink and Particle (Seren 2006) and her third So Many Moving Parts (Bloodaxe 2014) won the Roland Mathias Poetry Award (Wales Book of the Year) in 2015.

Margaret Atwood
Margaret Atwood is an internationally renowned writer from Canada, more famous for her many award-winning novels than for her poetry. Nevertheless, she has published eighteen collections, of which the first was Double Persephone. This was self-published in 1961 before any of her novels had appeared. She has won numerous international awards and is also a critic, teacher and environmental activist.

WH Auden
Wystan Hugh Auden (1907 – 1973) was a poet, playwright, critic and librettist. He grew up in Birmingham, England, but later became an American citizen. He became familiar with modernist poetry while studying at Oxford and in 1930 TS Eliot helped him publish his first collection. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1948.

Jane Austen
Jane Austen (1775 – 1817) wrote six much-loved novels exploring late-eighteenth century society, often focusing on the limitations to women’s lives and the necessity of marriage for financial security. She also loved reading poetry and greatly admired William Cowper. She wrote a small number of poems, including ‘When Winchester Races’ which was composed only a few days before her death.

Cameron Awkward-Rich
Cameron Awkward-Rich is an American poet and writer with a PhD from Stanford University. He has published two full-length poetry collections: Dispatch (Persea Books, 2019) and Sympathetic Little Monster (Ricochet Editions, 2016), as well as a chapbook Transit (Button Poetry, 2015). He teaches at the University of Massachusetts.

Janette Ayachi
Janette Ayachi is a Scottish-Algerian poet whose poetry, prose and essays have been published internationally and translated into several languages. Her collections include Hand Over Mouth Music (Pavilion Poetry, 2019) and QuickFire, Slow Burning (Pavilion Poetry, 2024). She has been Digital Poet in Residence at the Poetry School and was Visiting Poet at Arcadia University in the US.
