Marjorie Lotfi

Marjorie Lotfi was born in New Orleans and lived in Iran and the US before settling in Scotland. Her first poetry collection, The Wrong Person to Ask (Bloodaxe Books, 2023) won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. She is a Royal Literary Fund Fellow and her work has been broadcast on BBC Scotland and BBC Radio 4. She is a co-founder and director of the charity Open Book.
